Food trailer
On-course hospitality with character.
A custom horse trailer conversion designed to serve members and guests at a private golf club in Luling, Texas.
Chris Madden came to The Hudson Trailer Company with an idea for bringing food service onto the course: a horse trailer converted into a distinctive hospitality space for members and guests.
The Hudson Trailer Company sourced a horse trailer and developed the conversion around a working service area, combining practical equipment with finishes chosen to complement the club’s setting.
01
A welcoming stop on the course
An awning-style service window and wood serving ledge create a natural place for golfers to approach and order. Beneath the window, natural wood detailing gives the exterior warmth and texture, paired with a deep blue finish matched to Gentleman’s Gray.
Inside, walnut-stained butcher-block countertops, a wood accent wall and a decorative tin ceiling carry that character into the workspace.
02
Built for the team inside
The interior brings preparation counters, cabinetry and a refrigerated toppings rail together in a compact layout. A three-compartment sink and separate handwashing sink support food service, while recessed lighting, air conditioning and easy-clean flooring make the space practical for the team working inside.
The equipment and finishes were considered together, giving Luling Sport a service point with the personality of a small clubhouse and the flexibility of a trailer.
03
A different approach to golf-course hospitality
A custom food trailer can bring service closer to members without requiring a conventional building at every stop. For Luling Sport, the horse trailer format offered a way to create an inviting destination with its own identity.
